  • Nutella Filled Donut Holes

This is a guest post from Kirbie's Cravings.

Sometimes ideas don’t turn out as expected.

I had come up with what I thought was a brilliant idea for Nutella flavored donut holes. But when I tried making them, they turned brittle during the frying process, from the chocolate directly hitting the hot heat. I tried changing up the recipe. A little better, but the outside still developed a weird layer that wasn’t pretty or tasty and the middle was taking forever to cook. More Here...

  • Is There a Market For Chocolate Half and Half?

Is there a market for chocolate half and half? A coworker of mine believes it’s a huge money maker. More Here...

  • Tips: Cooking Fish

This is a guest post by Christie's Corner

    Fish Tips

Dry, flaky fish might not be what you were aiming for, but it does absorb dressings and sauces nicely. You can disguise overcooked fish with Hollandaise sauce or a splash of extra tangy mayonnaise spiced up with some lemon juice, lime juice, fresh ginger and shallots. Firm fish like salmon can be turned into fish cakes.More Here...

  • Can You Compromise With Reduced Fat Snack Foods?

My story involves reduced fat Cheez-Its. The Cheez-It is an incredibly addictive and tasty snack food. Once you pop open that red box, it's very difficult to stop yourself from finishing it. Before long your teeth are covered with an orange tint from the cheesy massacre.

One way to kill a Cheez-It addiction is to unknowingly eat a few reduced fat Cheez-Its. Immediately you'll be wondering where the flavor disappeared to. More Here...
  • Nut Butters

I grew up eating peanut butter, as I’m sure most of you did unless you have a nut allergy. As I got older I became aware of my health and converted to all natural peanut butter sans salt. I actually find it more delicious than the natural salted kind, and much more natural tasting than Skippy. Also, when peanut butter is salted I find that I want to keep eating it and am just left feeling thirsty. So, I choose this variety for my peanut butter:

I find it great to use in Thai and Asian dishes that call for a peanut sauce or is one of the ingredients in the actual dish.

I have been obsessed with almond butter More Here...

  • Coconut Cream Whoopie Pies

This is a guest post by Cake Spy.

Guess what? Today (May 8) is National Coconut Cream Pie Day.

Clearly, this is an appropriate occasion to eat your weight in coconut cream pie. But why stop there? Why can't whoopie pies come to the party, too?

True: traditional whoopie pies are not pie at all—rather, they are cake-like cookies with frosting sandwiched in between. But in the case of the Coconut Cream Whoopie Pie, you can have your cake and eat your pie, too. The rich filling is sort of like a mix between coconut frosting and cream pie filling.

Moreover, these sweet sandwiches are like eating the delicious intersection between sugar cookies, coconut cake, and coconut cream pie in one delectable form—that is to say, an absolutely appropriate food to celebrate this red-letter calendar day.More Here...

  • Five Minute Avocado Chocolate Pudding

This is a guest post by Kirbie's Cravings

You know how much I love quick and easy recipes. And I like healthy ones too. This recipe recipe is both healthy and super easy. And it still tastes like chocolate pudding.

I’ve been on a huge avocado kick lately and have been searching for all sorts of avocado recipes. During my search I came across this super easy chocolate puddingthat can be made in about five minutes, and uses avocados as one of the key ingredients.

I wasn’t too surprised. I’ve made a chocolate mousse with tofu where you can’t taste the tofu so I was confident that a chocolate pudding can be made with avocado without it tasting like avocados.More Here...
