  • Fifteen Weeks of Sweat and Tears in my Baking class

    It's been a while since I've last blogged for IReallyLikeFood and it feels great. This semester I took Baking & Pastry Arts 1 and it was intensive, tiring, stressful, exciting, and educational.

    The experience in the kitchen and intensity of it has proved to me that I'm not quite made for the kitchen, because of all the heat and intensity. I did have a lot of fun baking breads, pastries, and things that I didn't think I would ever bake, make, learn, or like. More Here...

  • 5 Minute Nutella Pudding

    Three ingredients and about five minutes of your time. That’s all you need for this dessert.

    Sometimes inspiration comes at odd moments. DH and I were driving home from dinner and my mind wandered off and suddenly this thought of making a super easy Nutella pudding just appeared in my head. Lucky for me, we had one last ripe avocado sitting at home. Technically it was DH’s avocado, but now that we’re married, his stuff is my stuff right?

    As soon as we got home, I made a beeline for the kitchen to try out my newest idea. And success!

  • Kale Mushroom Soup With Poached Egg

    Mushrooms
    are nutritional powerhouses packed with vitamins, minerals and disease-fighting antioxidants.

    Ever since I made this clear mushroom soup, I wanted to make it again. Better still, make it a regular regime.

    But fresh shiitake mushrooms are not cheap in the US. Imported fresh shiitake mushrooms are much cheaper but I try to avoid those as who knows what has happened in the "mushroom journey". I enjoy many varieties of mushrooms, do you?

    To this soup, I have added fresh shiitake mushrooms and two other varieties to boost the "mushroom effect". More Here...
