Think gingerbread houses are only for the holidays? Wrong!
These clever people have thought outside the (gingerbread) box, har har. I know, I'm hilarious. But really, these are such clever and incredible feats of gingerbread architecture with a si-fi theme. I'm in awe! Among the coolest creations are the Gingerprise:

I've used gingerbread as the base for a multi-layered brownie creation.
I clicked on this hoping something would be Firefly related. I'm happy now.

@joshiro - It took about a week to finalize the design and get the supplies, actually assembly took 2 days and 3 people :)
@joshiro - Gingerbread (or sugar cookie) dough on the bottom, brownie on the top. And if you feel like putting something else in between, go right ahead. Use your imagination.
cool....have only made it from a kit and let my kid decorate it. Good eating afterwards!
I've only made gingerbread houses and gingerbread men. I don't really like the taste of it, but it's tradition and fun to do so. I like the sci-fi creativity. I also saw at the store a box of Ninjabread men that also had me smiling.
I made a really cute Christmas gingerbread house last year, and my boyfriend turned his...into a Satan house. complete with "666" on the roof, gummy horns, evil eyes, and pentagrams....
