Do you love bacon? I have a website that will change your life.
Bacon Today is a website dedicated, well, bacon. While I have the feeling that it's very much about humor,
Bacon Today also is actually really interesting. It covers everything from news about bacon to bacon recipes to even books on bacon - it's a comprehensive guide to all things bacon.
The most interesting section is without a doubt, the recipe list. Because apparently you can put bacon in and on
everything.
Like, say, a
turducken:
Or
pumpkin pie.
Or even
spiced sugar cookies?!
I don't know about you, but I'm intrigued. I've never put much thought into all the different ways bacon can be used, so a lot of these recipes were surprising. I mean really, bacon sugar cookies? I've got to try it to believe it! (Which is totally just my excuse to eat bacon and cookies.)
Learn everything you ever wanted to know about bacon at

No... um, I am not Jewish or Muslim... I just don't like bacon. So posts like this are gross to me. But let's say I were Jewish or Muslim... I would be extra grossed out.
I'm kind of a bacon purist, so I don't really like any bacon preparation other than just cooked crisp, plain, served with breakfast foods, or in a breakfast sandwich with lettuce, tomato and a fried egg. I did once try bacon on a maple doughnut at the fair. I'd have to say that I didn't hate it.
Nah. I only like it when cooked normally. A solo bacon not accompanied by anything but itself and a date with my mouth. mmm
There is nothing that is not better with the addition of bacon.
@Cosmar@xanga - I make a mean chocolate sour cherry bacon cupcake :)
This turducken wrapped in bacon . . . these guys are just ripping off Epic MealTime.
But you know, everything is better with bacon. And I mean everything.
@Trueinnerbeauty@lovelyish - Share the recipe, please.
@purpleranger - I'm planning to submit it as a post :)
what's the deal with bacon?
it just tastes extremely salty to me. At least italian sausages like salami have been seasoned with pepper/herbs.
The only time I have bacon is in quiche. The last time I had bacon was when we got delayed at the airport for flight and we got provided with a meal (bacon sandwich) and this must have been when I was about eight. I am now 28.
I like bacon, but I'm not as obsessed as a lot of people, particulary paleo people, seem to be.
I will say that I am super excited about the sugar free bacon I just ordered.mmmmm more bacon!!
i'm also intrigued. i like salty-sweet flavor combo. maybe this is the answer to my crave for that flavor combo. bacon in pumpkin pie? on cookies? this makes salted caramel and salted chocolate sound so last year's.
