Ginger Spice Latte
This is a guest post by Kirbie's Cravings.
With Thanksgiving over, I’m now in December baking mode. DH wanted to start of the December treats with something ginger. And my first thought was a homemade ginger latte, inspired by the Starbucks beverage.
You can really taste the ginger and the molasses in this drink. The coffee flavor is a little light though. Still, it’s easy to make at home, saves me a couple of bucks and satisfies my cravings for a ginger latte.
Ingredients:
1 cup milk
1/2 cup strong brewed coffee
1 tbsp molasses
1/4 tsp ginger
1/4 tsp cinnamon
2-3 tbsp sugar to tasteDirections:
Use an extra large mug that holds approximately 2 cups of liquid. Brew coffee. Bring milk to a boil in small saucepan on stove. Add in coffee, and remaining ingredients and stir until combined. Pour into cup.Top with whipped cream if desired.
Have you tried homemade gingerbread latte before? Do you like gingerbread latte?
