What's the craziest cooking show you've ever seen?
I'm a huge fan of Iron Chef, both the US and the original versions. But I also really like another Japanese show called the Dotch Cooking Show. It's similar to Iron Chef in that two chefs are battling to win based upon their food and presentation, but in this particular show, the guests choose the dishes they want to eat at the beginning of the show and then are given the chance to change their decision throughout the battle. At the end, the winning chef and those who chose that chef's dish get to eat, while the losing chef and those who did not chose the winning dish are left to watch hungrily as the winners enjoy a delicious meal!
Sounds kind of harsh, but it's all in good fun! There are actual stakes in this competition, which I find refreshing. You can watch episodes of Dotch on Youtube here!
