  • The Best Part Of Thanksgiving

That may or may not be a half-eaten Ho Ho on my plate...yolo.

The Leftovers! Here’s my plate from this morning:

It’s like an unwritten rule that if there are leftovers, it doesn’t matter if you eat the desserts before the entrees. You can put pie next to the mashed potatoes. You can lay the stuffing alongside the spinach dip. Just pile it all on. It’s Thanksgiving, Round 2. And you can chug straight from the bottle of sparkling apple cider.

I have to say that I love making sandwiches out of the turkey meat. My grandma makes the best grilled turkey sandwiches. Even though you end up going into another food coma the day after Thanksgiving, it’s so worth it because holiday foods, which are usually good old home cooking, are the best foods.

Check out some of my favorite leftovers photos from Instagram in the photo gallery!

Which are your favorite leftover mashups?

Most of the leftovers just get served as another meal, I don't really do anything special with them unless I am tired of having another Thanksgiving dinner plate.  I would usually make sandwiches, additions to eggs and toast.  Make turkey enchiladas.  I am going to make some stock with the carcass, though.
