  • Starbucks' Flavors of Winter

Like a sailor drawn by the mermaid’s siren call, I find myself inside Starbucks more in the winter than any other season. Because I just can’t resist their winter treats.

I love peppermint. If I could drown in their peppermint mochas, I’d sink into a chocolatey-mint death with a smile. They were the first place I ever tasted such a concoction, so they hold a special place in my heart for introducing me to it.

Every time fall rolls around, I get excited for their other flavors too: the Caramel Brulee Latte and the Gingerbread Latte. I think the toppings are the best part. The crunchy toffee flakes and the little curly chocolate shakes left at the bottom of the drink after you finish are my favorite part of drinking/eating.

AND: they have peppermint cake pops now.

I feel like leaving Santa some of these out this year instead of the cookies. They’re covered with white chocolate frosting that’s been rolled around in sugar crystals and candy cane bits. Inside is rich brownie cake and yes, you have permission to die and go to heaven after you eat one.

Which Starbucks winter drink is your favorite?
