  • Go To Amsterdam...For The Pancakes?

Do you like pancakes?  Looking for an unexpected place to eat them abroad?

If you're in Amsterdam, look no further.  I stumbled across this place by the lucky recommendation from two girls who were staying in the same hostel as I was, and boy, did was it a good suggestion. Because, well, let's be real, you don't think of pancakes when you think of Amsterdam.

Regardless of why you're visiting, if you find yourself in need of something sweet, possibly savory, but all around delicious, be sure to stop by The Pancake Bakery.

The Pancake Bakery specializes in its namesake, but these pancakes are a little different than the ones you find here in the US.  Rather than being thick and fluffy, they're more like crepes, thin, but cooked with added extras.  In my case, bacon and onion.

Oh, and did I mention the buckets of syrup?  Yeah, you have a whole army of different types to choose from.  Pancake heaven.

The Pancake Bakery is located at Prinsengracht 191, 1015 DS Amsterdam.  You can visit their website here.

Where's your favorite place to eat pancakes?
