So you've made your way out to Williamsburg on a blustery Saturday morning - what do you do?
Go to
Smorgasburg! Smorgasburg is a self-proclaimed "Brooklyn Flea Food Market" that happens over the weekend in two locations: on the waterfront of the East River in Williamsburg on Saturdays and in DUMBO on Sundays. The food vendors sell ranges from Morrocan to hot dogs to very delicious and spicy pickles. Basically it's a little tiny hometown fair that occurs every weekend.
If you take a trip to Smorgasburg, you're bound to end up eating something delicious and feeling ready for a food coma afterwards, but what might not occur to you is how overwhelming it is. The sheer volume of different vendors and foods had me overstimulated and running from tent to tent exclaiming "I'm going to get that!" And that...and that too.
Eventually you'll have to make a decision. And believe me it isn't easy.
How can you say no to that face? Seriously.
But if you're a fan of something sweet with a lot of coconut and pumpkin spice, make sure to stop by Danny Macaroons. They're literally just amazing. I've never had flavored macaroons before and I'm a huge lover of pumpkin (especially in the fall) so the fact that Danny Macaroons not only makes pumpkin spice macaroons, but also makes them very well blew my mind.
The Danny Macaroon tent, complete with t-shirts and deliciousness.
From their website, they say that all the macaroons are gluten free and made with "
premium coconut, egg whites, condensed milk, a little bit o' love." Flavors include red velvet, guava, german chocolate, and many many more.
Plus, their little macaroon mascot is really cute! Check them out either at Smorgasburg or at their
website. Check out more delicious flavors below!
