Famous Chef Biographies, Written For Kids!
Random House has compiled this list of children's books to peak your little one's culinary fancy. I hadn't considered the genre of biographies for kids, but now I'm super excited about it! The choices on this list are ages six and up. Enjoy!
Hiromi's Hands by Lynne Barasch
Milton Hershey: Young Chocolatier by M.M. Eboch
by Bob Kann
George Crum and the Saratoga Chip by Gaylia Taylor
Do you get to work with a mini sous chef in your kitchen? What do you do to get your kids excited about food?

Cool. I think I would have liked these books as a kid. I don't often get to cook with a mini sous chef, but there have been a few occasions I baked with my friend's daughter, it is a lot of fun
I'm disappointed. No bio of Gordon Ramsey?
@purpleranger - Haha, I think he is an... unconventional role model :P But that leaves the door open for you to write it!
I think I would rather see biographies of either Justin Wilson or Graham Kerr.
These are great! My son wants to help so I purchased him a children's knife from Pampered Chef and I got him some colorful cutting mats and let him cut soft stuff. I also let him assemble his own sandwiches and he's a great stirrer. He's just 4 so he's not doing anything on the stove yet, but that's just a matter of time. His love of food came to him naturally, I don't enjoy the extra mess so I haven't encouraged it, but he is adamant about helping. It's neat to see that drive in him.
@Pepin909@xanga - Awww, that is so fantastic! And it encourages me to let my 5 year old nephew help out more :)
