  • Pasta with Fresh Tomato Sauce

This is a guest post from Thibeault's Table.

One of my favorite pasta sauces.

Another quick and easy dinner to prepare on a work night.

    Just a few ingredients.

    • Olive Oil
    • Tomatoes
    • (Fresh at this time of year)
    • Garlic
    • Basil (both dried and fresh)
    • salt
    • pepper
    • Kalamata Olives (optional)
    • hot red pepper flakes (optional)
    • Fresh grated Parmesan

Just heat the olive oil, add garlic, tomatoes, dried basil, salt, pepper and hot red pepper flakes (if using). Add olives (optional) Simmer for 5 to 10 minutes.

    Cherry Tomatoes

Just before serving toss in a handful or two of fresh basil (Chiffonade) Toss with pasta of choice and pass the parmesan.

Takes longer to boil the water for the pasta than it does to cook this sauce.

Serve on it's own or with your favorite side.

    I like grilled Italian Sausage.

    • About Me: I maintain two blogs - 'Thibeault's Table' records my day-to-day cooking and 'Thibeault's Table the Recipe Collection' contains my favourite recipes from over 35 years of home cooking. My philosophy of cooking is simple - "Recipes are meant to be shared". Blogging now provides opportunities to share recipes on a global level with no expense to readers. The recipes are either original, adaptations, or, in some cases unchanged from an original source. I always try to give attribution to the original source. The photos are all original. I would appreciate the courtesy of an acknowledgment and a link back to my blog if one of my recipes or photos are copied and posted elsewhere. Thank you for visiting my Blogs.
