Spare Rib Tea Soup Feast in Kuala Lumpur

In the mood for some tasty spare rib tea soup? Here's a virtual air ticket for you, bringing you straight to the heart of Kuala Lumpur and right to the Chinese style dining table of Bao Xiang Bak Kut Teh restaurant in Pavilion. Before we go, let's stop and soak in the beautiful Saturday sunset and gorgeous view of the Petronas Tower. All the troubles in the world can be forgotten and parked aside in this very moment.
Cool poster and food for thought before the real feast.
Saturday crowd at Pavilion, hitting the cafes and retail stores in full force.
Are you one of them?
The oriental interior of the restaurant, teleporting every diner to old Shanghai.
The feast - Bak Kut Teh (Spare Rib Tea Soup), Eggs, Fried Beancurd Skin & Greens, complete with a pot of bitter Chinese tea to dissolve away the grease and guilt.
Shall we tuck in? :D
Truth be told, I wasn't particularly blown away by the quality of the meal as I've had way nicer Bak Kut Teh (Spare Rib Tea Soups) in Malaysia. That said, I appreciated the comfort, decor, service and accessibility of the place, which is a major plus after a long week of work. If you are out and about in KL, looking for a Bak Kut Teh restaurant and have no local friends to bring you around, make this your default destination!
