  • Hello Kitty Shaped Food on Hello Kitty Jets!

I never thought the Hello Kitty craze would go this far, but it has. Hello Kitty themed jets will be taking flight from Taipei to Asian destinations featuring a variety of Hello Kitty themed cuisine. Eva Air and Sanrio teamed up for this and I must say I am quite impressed.

Growing up I was obsessed with all things Sanrio, especially Hello Kitty. This is something I would have dreamed of as a kid. This isn't the first time Taiwan's second-largest carrier and Japan's Sanrio have collaborated. The two companies launched the first generation of Hello Kitty jets in 2005. That Kitty fleet was disbanded in 2009, after its licensing agreement expired. Now the cute jets are back and will fly for at least a year.

Each of the jets is painted with a particular Hello Kitty theme on the outside of the aircraft. The Magic Jet has Hello Kitty waving her wand with a wave of stars, while the Apple Jet conveys the icon's love of apples. According to Eva Air, Hello Kitty's favorite food is her mom's homemade apple pie; it's apples for every passenger in-flight!

Each cabin is highly ornamented with the character. There are more than 100 in-flight service items branded with the famed cat, from the headrest covers to the soap to the snacks.

Of course, you’re interested in the food, right? Hello Kitty fruit cut-outs, molds, and shaped vegetables are offered. Take a look at all of the different Hello Kitty food:

Would you book a trip on a Hello Kitty jet for the food?
