Foods the IRLF Team Could Never Live Without
I posed a question to the I Really Like Food team: if you could only choose one food to have for the rest of your life, what would it be? I told them to assume this single food would miraculously provide all of their body’s nutritional needs. Also, I suggested that this should be a food you’d choose to have on a deserted island. Obviously, this has to be just one food you absolutely love, cannot live without, and could potentially see yourself eating 3 times a day for the rest of eternity! Here are some of our choices:
Ice Cream
Who can get sick of ice cream? The question is, what flavor would you choose? I would choose chocolate.

Sushi
Again, it would be hard to choose a roll, but I would probably go with a Volcano Roll or Spicy Salmon Roll.

Chicken Pad Thai
I chose this one! I figured I would get the meaty taste and texture I crave, soft noodles, and tasty flavors like peanut and scallion. I could eat this dish every day!

Burritos
Yum! I also love the combination of rice, beans, salsa, guacamole, and meat.

Cheeseburgers
Good pick! You would get meat, creamy cheese, soft bread, and crunchy lettuce-- the best of the food world.

Fried Chicken/Chicken
I don’t blame ‘em; any chicken dish is a pleaser.

Cheese & Olives
Okay, so it’s a pairing of two foods that expertly go together. I will allow it. No adding wine to the mix, though!

I was not surprised by any of the choices we made. The olives were the most distinctive choice, but I assumed everyone would choose some kind of comfort food, which they did. Hopefully we never get stuck on an island or ever have to end up eating one food for the rest of our lives. It was fun to think about, anyway. It took me forever to choose the food I would be okay with eating every day until the end of time. It was a tough decision between Pad Thai, Ice Cream, and Bacon Cheeseburgers.
What ONE food would you pick?

The one food I would pick is: my boyfriend's dumplings because it's a secret ingredient and the taste and everything about it never, ever disappoints me.
@jessdeng08@xanga - nice pick! I love dumplings.
Ahhh hmmm. Pad Thai and sushi, certainly - and noodles in broth, or knife-cut beef noodles from Taiwan umhmhmmmm.
pho !
I could eat spicy tuna rolls or dynamite rolls or just plain tuna sashimi every day for the rest of my days.
I choose Hael Mul Soon Dubu, Korean seafood tofu soup. Sooooooooooooo good when made correctly, and in a stone pot. I've had bad soon dobu. So disappointingly painful. >.<** The soup is even better when you crack a raw egg into the boiling soup right before you eat it. Nummy!
