Probably like most cooks, Willy Wonka played an influential role in my life. I read the book and watched the movie countless times, and even love the remake. One of my favorite images from the book was the lickable wallpaper. I went as far as to tape candy buttons all over my bedroom wall, until ants insisted otherwise. Now finally,
lickable wallpaper has become a reality in a London elevator.
For four weeks, food technicians and artists planned this project. 1,325 lickable Mcvities Jaffa Cakes were installed on elevator walls. Jaffa Cakes are popular U.K. snack cakes filled with orange and enrobed in chocolate. Every time a Jaffa Cake is licked it is replaced, so eager elevator goers aren't sharing anything but joy.
Would you like to take a sweet ride in this elevator?

no thanks. lol.
Oh yea. I'll lick the elevator walls hahahaha. Now someone needs to create an enormous chocolate waterfall and lake.
My question is how would they know someone licked them? Is someone actually in the elevator replacing them? Just kinda curious...
Gross...
I think I would prefer scratch 'n sniff wall paper over lickable wall paper. Only because licking isn't very satisfying and I can't trust that the one I want to lick has been replaced after someone else licked it.
If I happened to be near this elevator, sure, why not? I wonder if there will actually be lickable wallpaper sold for your home in the future.
No... I need a signiature in blood stating none are reused.
THIS would piss me off! I don't want to LICK cookies, I want to EAT THEM!
