  • 4 Easy and Delicious Smoothie Recipes

One of my buddies and I have been trying to make our current healthy kick more fun in order to keep our eyes on the prize (the prize being the impending summer). So, what couldn't be more fun than making refreshing smoothies? I'm not talking about that crap that sounds like it would be good for you but isn't. I'm talking about real fresh fruit, healthy ingredients, benefits. This past week, we've gone through four completely different and totally incredible recipes:

    1.What you'll need:

    • a cup of fresh honey dew
    • almonds
    • skim milk
    • or almond milk (unsweetened) instead of almonds and skim milk
    • a granny smith apple
    • a cup of pineapple
    • a banana
    • a teaspoon of clover honey (I like Trader Joe's)
    • organic oats (optional and not recommended if you are using whole almonds instead of almond milk- trust me)
    • ice

    2. What you'll need:

    • a handful of spinach
    • a ripe peach
    • a ripe mango
    • water
    • ice
    • an optional banana to thicken, though it's just as good without

    3. What you'll need:

    • skim or unsweetened almond milk
    • peach Chobani Greek yogurt
    • 2 bananas
    • cinnamon
    • ice

    4. What you'll need:

    • a can of Libby's 100% pure pumpkin
    • almond milk
    • cinnamon
    • two small handfuls of baby carrots
    • one scoop vanilla protein powder
    • ice

What are your favorite smoothie recipes? How do you spice up your healthy routine?
