After all the talk about
flavored vodkas and
chocolate covered pretzel shots, I began thinking about the morning after. Last night I got to know the drink menu at Booker and Dax thoroughly and foresee eating some of this in the near future.
1. Chilaquiles
Everyone has there own way of making this dish, but I like to think of it as breakfast nachos.
2. Pepperoni Pizza

There's nothing like loading up on fat and carbs to soak up the grief of the night before.
3. Garbage Plate

An upstate NY classic, the garbage plate is piled high with macaroni salad, meat sauce, cheeseburgers, and fried potatoes.
4. California Burrito

Carne asada fries all wrapped up in a giant flour tortilla.
5. Bacon-Wrapped Turkey Leg

This doesn't just have to be a Ron Swanson classic, it can be yours too.
What are your favorite hangover meals?

And this is why people have beer bellies. It's not necessarily because of the beer, it's because they eat crap like this while/after drinking.
Alas, I don't drink (anymore) which means I don't get hangovers, which ultimately means I have no hangover meals.
Shin ramyun.
Now I want a burrito.
I really hate hangovers so I usually try to avoid them by taking milk thistle tablets before I go out, and then some advil and a ton of water right before bed. Last time I had a hangover I couldn't eat anything until a few hours after I woke up. That was a red wine hangover though, those tend to be particularly horrible for me.
Either fried chicken or hash browns, bacon, and eggs. I love eating these foods.
I actually just go back to my normal healthy eating and drink LOTS of water. I find that I feel better with that. Sometimes I do go for waffles and sausage, or a big greasy cheese omelet with fries. To me anything decadent can be hangover food.
I can't do heavy grease-laden foods the day after drinking. I always crave Subway and a coke. Or some fruit.
I just drink a shit load of water before bed, and take painkillers. I try and get as much sleep as possible too. If I'm hungover, I go for bananas and gatorade.
I usually go out and buy myself a serving of eggs benedict with salmon when I'm hanging over! It used to be KFC, but I've stepped it up a notch now, haha.
Well, I try to avoid a hangover by monitoring my consumption and having some starchy food and lots of water and a couple Motrin/Advils before hitting the hay. Usually that means a couple soft tacos at the local 24-hour Mexican joint. The next day I am usually ok but not much appetite. My friends normally go for posole or menudo, or they go for breakfast foods like pancakes and stuff but not me. Heavy meals weigh me down making me more sluggish.
I've honestly never had a real hangover. I've not felt 100% the next day, but no headaches/throwing up. Maybe I just do drinking properly, though. I eat before bed, drink a lot of water and sleep until I want to wake up. For what I eat, the "thing" to do in my town after drinking is going to this... I don't even know what it is, they call it fine food and dining but it's like, the greasiest pizza and in the sketchiest part of town. Anyways, everyone who's out always goes there after the bars and usually has a slice of pizza.. except me, i go for poutine! Sometimes a slushie, too. Mmm.
Pancakes are always what I crave on the very rare occasions I've had a hangover.
with all due respect, fuck all this. it's all about pho. if you don't know what that is, google that shit coz holy hell, that shit will cure your hangover. well, that and hours and hours of sleep. seriously though, that's the ONLY thing i crave when im drunk/hungover, mm hmm!
rice! or mac and cheese or some version of the Hawaiian plate lunch (Rice, mac salad, and chicken katsu anyone?)
Fruit like watermelon and bananas are great too, coconut water, powerade/vitamin water always does it for me ;)
@MJeeeeeeeezy@xanga - and i agree with you completely. Pho is great for anything from the sniffles to a hangover. Best comfort food in my opinion.
@MJeeeeeeeezy@xanga - I really needed pho today...hangover was f'in brutal.
Gatorade and tylenol. >.< Keep it simple.
It's gotta be Thai tomyum for me!
Try bananas. They replenish your potassium.
more alcohol...
i want all of the things.
those are things i would think that people would eat while already having a few drinks. sounds pretty gross otherwise, especially for hangover food except the pizza
i don't drink but damn do i want some of these foods.
I hear Jägermeister helps with hangovers.
How about a big bowl of Quit Being A Bitch Flakes.... Part of a complete breakfast....
Who cries about hangovers? Your not allowed to drink if a hangover bothers you. It puts a bad name on us real drinkers.... aka, adults....
