  • Home Sweet Home

This is a guest post from For The Love of Cooking.

We are back from our fun filled trek to Utah’s beautiful Zion National Forest.  We met up with my sister and her family in Idaho then took off in our motor homes headed to Utah to go hiking through Zion. We had a fairly uneventful time traveling with the exception of getting a flat tire on our motor home.  Luckily, it was a quick and easy fix!  Words can’t describe how unbelievably beautiful Zion is.  The mountains are massive and utterly majestic.  If you have never traveled to Zion – you should really go!  We had a wonderful time hiking,  we enjoyed the beautiful scenery, great restaurants (with exceptional service), and spending time together.  On the way back home, we were able to stop by my parents house for a quick breakfast before heading back to Boise to celebrate my husband’s birthday.  It was a fantastic adventure that we will never forget.  With that said, it sure feels good to be home.  I’ll be back to posting recipes tomorrow.

Side note: I normally don’t post about restaurants but we had such a great meal & service at this one I wanted to share it with you all.

We celebrated my husband’s birthday at an incredible restaurant in downtown Boise called Fork.  It’s in the old Boise City National Bank building and it is really beautiful inside.  We didn’t have reservations so we sat at the bar and had a wonderful time!  Our waiters, Tom & Mitch, were excellent servers who really made our dining experience extra special.  The cocktails were tasty and the food was fantastic.  If you are ever in Boise, be sure to check out Fork!

    Cool old building

    Love the bar
