My Top 6 Cereal Obsessions from Back in the 90's
I no longer take part in eating sugary breakfast cereal, but I can reminisce in a post discussing my favorite breakfast cereals as a kid. In order:
1. Berry Kix
I always ate these watching a Disney movie. One of my most vivid memories is when I would go to my Dad’s house early in the morning and watch Aladdin while eating a big bowl of Berry Kix.

2. Fruity Pebbles
My mother did not like buying these, but I begged her (and often won). I loved drinking the milk after it got extra sweet from the cereal.
3. Cinnamon Toast Crunch
From early on I loved anything cinnamon.

4. Frosted Flakes
Yes, I had a big crush on Tony the Tiger.

5. Honey Nut Cheerios
Supposedly healthier than the others on my list, I ate this cereal most often. I really liked (and still like) the subtle honey flavor and oatey texture of the cereal.

6. Apple Jacks
Not as exciting as the others, but I enjoyed the apple flavor. I actually liked Apple Jacks better than Froot Loops.
As you can see, I was a fruity flavored cereal loving little girl. I was not a big fan of Reese’s Peanut Butter Puffs or Cocoa Pebbles. This is interesting because today I prefer chocolate desserts to fruit desserts, although I do love both.
Do we share any of the same favorites? If not, what breakfast cereal was your favorite as a kid? Do you still eat it?

Cocoa Puffs were the best. Chocolate milke in the bowl!
1. Frosted Flakes
2. Corn Pops
3. Oreos4. Reese Puffs
5. Cookie Crisp
6. Fruity Pebbles
I try not to eat these because I'm trying to watch my weight. I'm now obsess with Honey Bunches of Oats with Almonds, Special K Strawberry, Fiber One, and Smart Start.
That pic is of multigrain cheerios, not honey nut!
How did Ice Cream Cones and Nerds cereal not make this list??
Cap'n Cruch Peanut Butter Crunch was one of my favorites.
My parents always bought the boring cereals...Raisin Bran, Corn Flakes, and Rice Crispies. But at school, they used to give us those miniature bowls >:D My favorites were Trix and Golden Grahams. Ironically, I hated the really sweet cereals like Frosted Flakes but fell in love once I got older.
ALL OF THESE
I was never really allowed to eat any of those. I had Froot Loops on holiday a couple of times (we don't have them in England), and frosted flakes and coco pops at friends houses, but that's it.

The original Captain Crunch and Rice Krispies with sliced bananas.
Mmmmmm. Frosted Flakes, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Honey Nut Cheerios and fruit loops are my favs. :) Regular Cheerios with a little bit of sugar & sliced banana = heaven.
Berry Berry Kix and Honey Nut Cheerios were the only cereals I liked with milk. The others I love dry. But I love each and every of these cereals and actually am eating a bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch right now. Anyone remember French Toast Crunch which was shaped like little slices of bread?
love Frosted Flakes! :)
that post is really mean, do you know that
? pictures of awesomely delicous foods, but never forget it is UNHEALTHY.
I feel bad for saying I want some now...*sigh*.
I wasn't allowed that stuff either as a kid...I remember eating cinnomon toat crunch later as a teenager once. I did have cornflakes and sometimes things that looked like nutshells and turned the milk into a chocolate drink.
Waffle Crisp. They still sell it at Miejer and I'll splurge and buy it occassionally.
I was never much of a fan of cereal as a kid. Of course, as I've gotten older, I realize that like cereal quite well as long as you don't put milk on it.
Cookie Crisp, Honey Combs, frosted Rice Krispies...some of my faves.
Cap'n Crunch was great! Who didn't love when those little square puffy shaped goodness scraped the roof of your mouth or when it felt like they left a greasy film in your mouth...I liked them....
I still love fruity pebbles and apple jacks. also loved cookie crisp!
As a kid, I used to love Capn Crunch. Now - I'm more of "Honey Nut Cherrios" kinda guy.
Also - Berry Kix is good as a snack.
The less healthy the cereal, is my favourite.. Haha. I dont eat cereal too often though, since Im trying to lose some weight, but I think my favourite would have to be Reeses Puffs. Anything chocolatey actually... My boyfriend really likes the rice crispy treats cereal.
