  • Sunday Brunch at Jack Bistro

Every morning that I go to the gym, I always feel hungry afterwards no matter what time it may be. Yesterday after the gym, I had brunch with my sister, her boyfriend, and my boyfriend. I had a sudden craving for eggs and I didn't care in what shape, form, or taste it was as long as I had eggs.

I discovered a restaurant in Union Square, NYC after walking back and forth called Jack Bistro.

Jack Bistro is located on the border line of Union Square and Greenwich Village. Jack has a very warm, vibrant ambiance and it offers quality American and French cuisine. Their menu doesn't have a diverse range of food, but most of it is filled with comfort foods, refreshing salads, and hearty and juicy sandwiches.

My boyfriend ordered the Jack Burger and it consists of a grilled half-pound Angus beef hamburger on a Parker house roll and he ordered it with Swiss cheese. Their burgers sure looked juicy and it even comes with crispy frites and a refreshing side salad.

My sister ordered a French toast with apple compote. Doesn't it look beautiful? I think next time I return to Jack Bistro for brunch, I'm going to try this dish because it sure has been a long time since I last had French toast and I love, love just about anything with apples.

As for myself, I ended up ordering eggs Benedict. This was my second time ordering it and I was quite excited at how the eggs Benedict would look like. The eggs Benedict were served on semolina country bread and ham. Frites and a refreshing salad came on the side.

The first time I tried eggs Benedict, I didn't like it and said I wasn't sure if I would try it again, but it looks like I did.

The eggs Benedict was voluptuous and delectable. The Hollandaise sauce was to the point, creamy, and lemony fresh. The inside of the eggs Benedict was runny and even more tasty when the eggs became runny and oozing out.

I definitely enjoyed my brunch at Jack Bistro. The service is great and the staff here are friendly and welcoming. Although the food is a little pricey over here, I do have to say I was very impressed with the food quality and quantity and I am considering making another trip to Jack Bistro.

What do you like to eat for brunch?
