IRLF Team Votes for Top 5 Easter Candy Picks

Easter is this weekend. The team at IReallyLikeFood celebrates any and every holiday with food as I’m sure you can all guess, and Easter is no exception. While not all of us celebrate it religiously, we certainly do not miss the array of candy adorning drugstore and grocery store shelves from March to April. From Cadbury Crème Eggs to Marshmallow Peeps, no confection was left unmentioned in my poll of the IReallyLikeFood contributors’ favorite Easter delights. Here are the Top 5:
The colors alone (bright and pastel) make these morsels of goodness the IRLF team’s favorite Easter candy.
2. Cadbury Crème Eggs

Who doesn’t love these? Whether you are eating a big egg or a bunch of mini eggs, Cadbury crème eggs do not disappoint. I also love the caramel eggs. Do you?
3. Whopper Robin Eggs

This malted milk candy got my vote. My Mom buys multiple bags during the season and I won’t embarrass myself by telling you how long it takes the two of us to finish a bag… Also, somehow the bright blue ones taste the best.

4. Peeps

I was surprised these marshmallow chicks didn’t get more votes. Mostly everyone liked them, but they were only one persons’ favorite. One writer suggested using them to make S’mores; what a great idea!
5. Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs

I find that Reese’s just taste better in egg form. Do you agree? Reese’s isn’t strictly an Easter candy, but when made into the shape of an egg, it becomes just another excuse to eat this classic peanut butter chocolate indulgence.
What is your favorite Easter time treat?

The Cadbury Creme Eggs are way too sweet for my tastebuds.
I like the Whoppers Robin Eggs and Cadbury Mini Eggs. Also like a Lindt Chocolate Bunny, if available in dark chocolate version. Hmmm, I think I have a thing for chocolate.
Starburst jelly beans, Reese's Eggs, and Cadbury Eggs! Can't wait till Sunday.
1, 2 and 4. Forget the rest. Oh, and of course, a big chocolate bunny!
@sonnigenmai@xanga - yes! My Dad gets me one every year
@billyeats - Oh, please. I started yesterday. Starburst jelly beans are addictive. I had never had them before but went out and bought them because so many of us voted for them.
Cadbury mini eggs!
@Emma - ahh now I want to go buy a bag haha
@gmgao - Do it! I brought a bag to work and we ate quite a bit of it in a few hours.
Reese's Eggs! All seasonal Reese's somehow seem to taste better than the original cups (not that the cups aren't amazing themselves)!
If you're seeing the Easter candy beginning in March, I have to wonder why they're taking so long to put it out. In my area, the stores start putting the Easter candy on the shelves by February 15 at the latest. (If they've done a good job of selling the Valentine candy, then the Easter candy will probably go out earlier.)
#5. they are sooo good!
Mr. Munchys, mmm! Mini eggs, foil chocolate eggs, and Comet chocolate. Mmm. :)
@purpleranger - Maybe I just don't notice it until then.
Cadbury Mini Eggssss
Favorite part of Easter besides the religious meaning, family, and food: candy sales on the Monday after!
