A Survival Kit for Foodies
I love incorporating spices in my cooking and food. I absolutely cannot live without basil, oregano, parsley flakes, garlic powder, pepper, and a few others. Sad to say, I don't even have a spice rack in my kitchen since it is shared between the family, but someday I hope to have a spice rack of my own.
Any way, do you ever go to a restaurant and ask for a certain spice and they just don't seem to have it in stock? How do you feel? Well, if your like me sometimes I feel incomplete with my dish knowing that it is missing a pinch of flavor.
Apparently, now there is a survival kit dedicated for foodies. The Mobile Foodie Survival Kit is a travel-sized set of 13 organic herbs and spices that are important for any foodie on the go. It includes basil, cayenne, curry, dill, granulated garlic, ginger, cinnamon, oregano, thyme, granulated onion, sea salt, black pepper, and even wasabi powder.
The containers are unlabeled so they can be re-used for your favorite spices (separate key included). This survival kit only costs $26.00, not a bad price at all. I find this as an interesting set especially for people that are in the culinary field and people who like to be prepared. It looks like some thing you would find in the activity set section in Barnes & Noble.I would totally get this and even though people are going to look at me weird and wonder where the heck did I pick up some organic dill and granulated onion from, it's always good to be prepared than not to be prepared. You always see food kits for cake pops, icing, and cupcakes, but really...do you ever see a kit of spices? I think this is an impeccable invention.
What about you? Would you be interested in purchasing this?

I think this is great, I'd definitely buy the kit if it came with larger amounts of each spice. However, I could probably do without the wasabi powder
OR go to a craft store and pick up a bead kit or to a Claires and buy a glitter set, they are shaped just like this, fill with your own spices. a bonus is that they screw together really tightly. AND they usually only cost $5ish
Suuure. I work at BN and they don't sell it, but maybe they do at other locations.
I think it's too expensive at $26 because you are paying for the novelty. I would prefer to just buy my spices at the local latin market.
Ooooh. Yes please!
