1. Melted PB with Apple Slices
I crave this snack in the afternoon and early evening. I scoop a ton of peanut butter into a small dish, pop it into the microwave for 45 seconds, slice an apple, and eat.
2. Peanut Butter Bars
I’m lucky my sisters bake me treats. These tasty treats can’t be beat. The combo of peanut butter and chocolate chips plus sweet and condensed milk, and finished with graham cracker crumbs…Wow.
3. Small Pretzels Stuffed with PB
My roommate Ryan always had a container in his room. Whenever he opened it up, I helped him make them disappear.
4. Reese’s Pieces
This has to be one of the candy greats. They’re better than PB M&M’s. A box of these at the movies is a requirement for me.
5. Hershey Kiss Cookies
My sister bakes dozens of HK cookies at Christmas time and she usually yells at me when she finds finger marks in the cookie dough. I look forward to these peanut butter cookies for eleven months of the year. When Christmas comes, they’re gone in one day.
6. PB & J
Unless you were deprived a childhood or you’re allergic to peanut butter, which I hope you’re not that unlucky, this has been a staple of my childhood and probably yours. I remember opening my lunches to PB & J in elementary and high school. In college, whenever I needed a quick snack, PB & J supported me. Travelling, PB & J is a cheap and portable meal. For the J, I prefer strawberry, but grape hits the spot too. I spread PB on both sides and then add the jelly or jam. Wheat and white bread fulfill my needs, but potato bread completes this sandwich.
Peanut butter Rice Krispy treats covered with a thick layer of melted chocolate. Yes, my sisters bake these too. And I eat them. If you haven’t eaten them, please do.
8. Peanut Butter Banana Milkshake
This places first for my absolute favorite milkshake. Peanut butter and bananas together in a milkshake gives me amnesia. I forget about a long summer work day after the first sip.
9. Bugs on a Log
I’m constantly trying to add more fruits and vegetables to my diet. This addition fits perfectly onto my lunch menu. If you’re not a celery fan, then stuff it with peanut butter and fix a couple raisin bugs on top. Bugs on a Log will forever be one of my favorite healthy snacks.
10. Reece’s Peanut Butter Cups
Whether at the grocery store or 7 Eleven, Reese’s PB cups are my number two choice. At Easter I always save the Reese's eggs for last. The original, dark, and white chocolate all are winners for me. I’m still gathering the courage to buy the half pound huge PB cup that Target sells occasionally.
11. JiF with a Spoon - You know it's my lazy do-nothing day if you walk in on me eating JiF peanut butter straight from the jar with a large spoon. This is my PB overdoes mode. Hopefully I'm not the only one who does this.
What's your favorite peanut butter eats? Did I miss anything essential on my list?
