How Do You BLT?
To toast or not to toast? Bring out the best with Hellman's or and some zip with Miracle Whip? Thin and crispy bacon or thick and chewy bacon? These are the questions we've all been faced with at some point or another. The BLT is hands down, unequivocally, my favorite sandwich. I may go as far as to proclaim it my favorite food. Too far? I know it's bad for me, I know it's the reason I can't wear my skinny jeans anymore, but does death by BLT really sound that bad? More Here...

Okay. I am so picky about these! The bacon has to be completely crispy to the point where it cracks if you're not gentle. Toast the bun, and avocado instead of mayonnaise (ick! too much fat). Tomato soup on the side.
I've been doing my own version of the Applebee's grilled cheese BLT. I'll do one layer with cheddar cheese, and then on top, the BLT with chewy bacon, avocado and garlic mayo. So delicious.
My favorite! I like them with toasted rye bread and add avocado, not too picky about the bacon as long as there's enough of it.
toasted bread, tomatoes, lettuce, bacon thats soft (I dont like it crispy), and light mayo on both pieces of bread...thats my BLT
Toasted wheat or white (I know, I know), with soft, slightly crisp bacon, tomato, spinach or romaine lettuce, and avocado (but no mayo). Or, toasted white bread, crispy bacon, lettuce, tomato and over easy egg. Messy but tasty (no cheese, mayo or avocado).
Toasted bread. Good amount of Duke's Mayo (better than Hellman's). Lots of tomato slices. And crisp romaine. That's how I BLT, classically.
Bread, vegan mayo, tomato, lettuce.
i love BLTs so so much. i also do like them with avocado and/or egg, though often i just like to keep it simple and classic.
I like chewy bacon, a mix of avocado and a bit of mayo, with no toasted bread.
I don't know if it's a California thing, but at restaurants BLTs almost always have avocado. Not that I'm opposed, but I'm kinda purest. I like toasted whole wheat, light mayo on one slice and light mustard on the other. Egg I've never heard of, but I definitely wouldn't go for that.
Toast the bun, substitute ranch for mayo, and some spinach because why not.
And now I'm hungry.
My girlfriend and I like our BLTs different too.
