Valentine's Day Treat Ideas

Valentine's Day is less than a week away! I know some people hate this "holiday" and others love it, but either way it's an excuse to bake! My husband and I are celebrating this weekend and we are going to keep it cheap by eating in. I am planning on making French Onion Soup and possibly some Cookie Dough Ice Cream. I've been searching for fun dessert ideas and there are so many out there!
Check out what I've found, these are just a few of my favorite:
- Be Mine Cupcakes
I found this picture, but I can't seem to find the corresponding recipe. They seem rather simple, maybe you could follow this recipe and then write on them with white icing. They are cute and simple.
These look amazing! Again, super simple and they are beautiful to look at. It isn't exactly strawberry season here, but I think you can get good strawberries right now in Florida.
Whoopie pies are always good, even better when they are red velvet. I thought these would be cute if they were heart shaped.

This didn't look very appetizing at first, kind of looks like tomatoes, right? But, rest assured they are cherries and after knowing that, it sounds delicious.

You can't exactly eat these cookies, but you can fill them with your own variety of fun treats like Hershey Kisses or M&M's!

What are you making for Valentine's Day?

You are my hero!!
Sweet ideas. One of the bloggers I follow did heart shaped red velvet whoopie pies yesterday, super cute. I like the chocolate cupcake idea most, writing sweet messages on top.
these are fun. I really like the felt fortune cookies! I wonder if they would work out of heavy paper too, I think I will try it and see.
Yes, Valentine's Day is only a few days away. As is February 15 -- or as I like to call it, Discount Chocolate Day.

Those cupcakes with writing come from Martha Stewart: http://www.marthastewart.com/recipe/handwritten-valentine-cupcakes-with-chocolate-glaze
I'm not ashamed to say I recognized them immediately because I'm always looking for inspiration from her website, lol.
