Chicken Karaage & Avocado Fries
Made my girlfriend's Avocado fries and chicken Karaage for pre-Super Bowl snacks.
Chicken Karaage

1 lb. of chicken thighs (boneless/skinless). I trimmed the fats (dry them in a paper towel).
Season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder and some soy sauce. Combine them together.
Add in 2 tablespoons of corn starch and make sure the chicken pieces are completely covered in them. Put it aside for 10-15 minutes.
Fry them until they turn brown/crispy.Avocado Fries

The easiest way to cut your Avocado fries is to cut through the flesh/skin in the shape of your choice and simply peel the skin off.

If you have minions, kids and/or partner, put them to work as this is a messy process.Coat your Avocado fries in the following order:
1. Flour (season it with salt/pepper)
2. Beaten eggs
3. Panko bread crumbs
Fry or bake them until the Panko bread crumbs turn crispy/browned.
You definitely want to eat these with some sort of sauce (I used Katsu sauce). Eat them with whichever sauce you like.

The chicken looks tasty but for some reason I find that I enjoy avocado very simply and preferably, not warm. I do wish I had minions to do things like breading snack foods, or clean my house.
I, too, prefer my avocado to be cold, or at least lukewarm. There's something about hot avocado that turns me off.
But the chicken looks fantastic. They both seem to be quite the tasty treats.
I'm with the rest...chilled avocado for me but the chicken looks great.
i love avocados but fried? hmm i guess i'd have to try them to see what it really tastes like
Wow, I am intrigued.
