Thai Cuisine at Jim Thompson, Dempsey Hill
Having Monday blues? Teleport yourself to resort-like Jim Thompson and dine away to Thai delicacies sans the cost of an air-ticket to Thailand! Conveniently located in Dempsey Hill and with a spacious and lush outdoor dining area, the restaurant is a nice escapade from the hustle and bustle of the city, making it perfect for a nice quiet evening with a friend. It was there I decided to host my welcome dinner for my Dutch buddy, Selmer, who was also one of my most awesome housemates back in France and often cooked us lots of yummy dishes.
The menu had more than 80 classic Thai dishes, from the standard curries to coconut desserts, and an extensive offering of wine that would complement the spicy and flavorful Thai cuisine.
Care to join us?
Let's start with some mango salad and satays (grilled meat skewers) with spicy dips.
Then move on to the classic Pad Thai, which is an absolute must-have!

Finally, end with fresh coconut ice-cream dessert served in coconut and with our national flower, the orchid!

And don't forget to soak in the soothing ambiance of this stunning outdoor setting,
which rivaled that of any luxurious beach resort one gets in Thailand.

I hope you enjoyed this little Thai night out with us and it helped chase away bits of the awful Monday blues!☆
