Friday the 13th: Jason Voorhees Cake
My birthday was yesterday; Friday the 13th! My husband and I hosted a fun Friday the 13th themed party at our apartment last night. My husband made this cake all on his own and it came out pretty spectacular! All made with real frosting and red velvet cake.
We also celebrated by drinking Pickle Back Shots. Have you heard of these?
You take a shot of Jameson followed by a shot of pickle juice. You either hate them or love them! There were several people at the party who absolutely wanted nothing to do with them, but I also had a good crowd of people who were on board. I LOVE pickles so of course they sounded excellent to me!
What do you think of pickle back shots? Gross or delicious?

Wow. The Jason Voorhees cake sounds awesome, and oddly appropriate. I mean for once, you got people cutting Jason to pieces instead of the other way around. :D
And... er pickle back shots? I thought they were called screaming vikings? 0_O
I don't drink, and even though I do eat pickles -- those look disgusting!
I might try the pickle juice shot thing once, but it just doesn't thrill me thinking about it. The cake is awesome and apparently not a lie. ;)
I don't like the cake because I think the icing looks kinda sloppy.
Shot of Jameson's -- sounds great! Shot of pickle juice -- I don't know. (Personally, I would be more inclined to slowly sip a glass of Jameson's, neat.)
I might try a Pickle Back Shot once, just to say that I had tried it.
