Things I Want To Make in 2012
I love making lists and goals in the new year! I don't make resolutions, just goals for all areas of my life. These are the things I am hoping to make this year:
- Homemade Dill Pickles
My mom used to make her own pickles all the time when I was a kid. She would make the sweet pickles, but since I'm not a fan of those anymore, I want to make dill pickles.
- Cookie Dough Ice Cream
I just recently made my first batch of homemade ice cream and it came out fantastic. Cookie dough is my favorite kind of ice cream, so I want to create my own tasty version.
- Chocolate Souffle

I want to do more baking overall this year and I would like to start with a chocolate souffle. They aren't the easiest things to make, but they certainly aren't difficult.
- French Onion Soup

I am not a huge fan of onions, but for some reason I LOVE French Onion Soup!
- A Frittata

Frittatas are easy to make, but I have been excited to make one ever since I received a cast iron skillet as a wedding gift.
Are you looking to expand your baking or cooking in 2012? What do you want to make?

There are a number of Czech/Slovak dishes I want to make. And, if I was able to acquire some of the spices cheaply, I'd LOVE to try my hand at Chicken Xacuti and other Indian dishes.
The pickles look fantastic. I buy fresh pickles from a company that makes them but even better if you can make them yourself
the french onion soup looks good...
I've been tinkering with a rice pudding recipe the past month or so. I want to perfect it, so I can write about it.
And I want to see if I can finally decide on the remaining ingredients to a dessert idea I wrote about a few months ago:

hahha, it takes a real foodie to have a whole list of food related resolutions! ; D
French onion soup <3
So hungry now :(
I'll be exploring vegetarian meals this year. I'd also like to learn how to make different kinds of soup.
