My List of Foods To Try in 2012

I thought it would be fun to create a list of new foods that I want to try in 2012. Inspired by this post, I've been meaning to create my own list. There are a lot of foods that I want to try because I think I will like them, but then there are others that as a 'foodie', I feel like I should try. Here is my list of foods that I want to try in 2012:
- Oysters
- Chicken and Waffles

- Kobe Beef Burger or Steak

- Moroccan Food

- Foie Gras

- Vegemite

- Mofongo

- Oxtail Stew

- Beignets

- Paczki

What are the foods you want to try this year?

You're going to get fat.
oysters are definitely delicious. especially with lemon & tobasco sauce!!
and foie gras is good in limited quantity!
i hope you'll get to accomplish your list :)
food = love
@mr_jin_tonic@xanga - Yeah I know! I already have plans to get a Kobe beef burger for my birthday in 2 weeks. I will definitely have to save up for the foie gras though!
Ehh, foie gras... poor ducks. Beignets and paczki look and sound yummy though.
Hmm... This is a good question. Lol. Your list looks amazing! I wanna start cooking more, for sure! =)
Those look delicious... oh, and I've had foie gras. Get the good stuff if you can. I had it in France. Our class went to a man's duck farm where he raises the ducks. The foie gras was SPREADABLE. That's all I gotta say. It was fricken amazing... and nothing like I thought it would taste (which really, I didn't think I'd like it, but I did try it. I was pleasantly surprised). I have also eaten oysters, cooked and raw. I enjoyed them. I wish I had remembered the raw oysters I had the first time around because I really liked them, then.
I like how "mofongo" sounds. I've heard of it, and I think I'd like to try that. I've also heard of vegemite, and I think if I end up in Australia, I may seek it out.
actually, everything on your list looks delicious. I might have to just say I want your list.
what i REALLY need to go is go to Geno's Steaks. I've lived in this area all my life, and I haven't been to Geno's. It's a Philly thing to do, and shame on me for not having been there yet. I want to do it just to say that I did.
Vegemite is gross. Worth trying once just to say you have, but only Aussies usually find it appealing. One of those things you have to grow up eating to like, I think.
I should try chicken and waffles, though. We have enough places where I live in Philly haha.
chicken and waffles sound so gross together!
i wish there's a place in vancouver, bc that serves chicken and waffles.
Beignets are the BEST with hot chocolate...I had them in New Orleans on the french quater when I was younger before the hurricane...they were AMAZING and I love them. <3
Haha there's some chicken and waffle place in Dorchester my cousin went to a few years back...interestingg combo
most of those look gross...
hmm. i've never tasted any of these!
Wouldn't mind some of those, the last two especially. The burger and fries look good too. I'd like to try something new, but nothing specific comes to mind.
@ShimmerBodyCream@xanga - I'm sorry, maybe you weren't aware that there were 365 days in 2012. Also, not sure if you know that that's a pretty big amount of time.
You troll.
these all look absolutely vile lol
Just a tip for when you eat Vegemite.
Just put a little bit on toast with butter. Unless you like a strong salty taste.its also really nice on toast with a bit of cheese on it, changes the flavour slightly :)@MyTwistedWords@xanga - Holy shit, there are 365 days this year? Nooo. Where did you get that information, you scholar, you!
This all makes me want to throw up.
wow, people are rudely harsh. i commend your extensive palette :)
