• Flavor Review: Ghiradelli Egg Nog Chocolate

  

  The abundance of egg nog around the holidays is one of my favorite things. I love everything about egg nog from its texture to its smell. Everyone in my family pretty much hates it but my mom treats me to a lovely carton each year, which I can easily chug if I truly wanted to (I don't).

  My mom got holiday limited edition Ghiradelli chocolate squares, which included peppermint bark, pumpkin spice caramel and egg nog. With my recent love for sweets, my eyes lit up knowing I can get the best of both worlds: egg nog and chocolate.

  I opened the wrapper of this perfect little chocolate square to find a cream-colored piece of heaven. There were even little specks of nutmeg in it. The chocolate smelt and looked like egg nog. I took a bite and this chocolate melted in my mouth. It was so yummy. Ghiradelli did good. This chocolate tasted like I took a sip from a tall glass of cool, creamy egg nog.

  I love holiday-inspired foods. It's nice to indulge in certain treats only one time a year. I think it makes that food even more special. I hope everyone has had a great holiday so far and you enjoy the new upcoming year!
