One Minute Peanut Butter Chocolate Mug Cake
This is a guest post by Kirbie's Cravings.
I love mug cakes. They are so easy to make and require very little clean-up. It takes a few minutes to put together and only about 1 minute of cooking time. Whenever I’m craving a sweet treat for one, I turn to a mug cake.
The other day I experimented with some other flavor mug cakes. So far I’ve madenutella chocolate mug cake and chocolate mug cake. I set about trying to make a peanut butter chocolate one.
The cake came out a little bit dryer than I had been expecting and the peanut butter flavor wasn’t intense enough for my personal preference. It was still a tasty cake though and really hit the spot. Next time I think I might not mix the peanut butter into the batter, but instead swirl it in.
INGREDIENTS
* 4 tablespoons all purpose flour
* 4 tablespoons white granulated sugar
* 1/4 tsp baking powder
* 1 egg
* 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
* 2 tablespoons peanut butter
* 3 tablespoons milk
* 3 tablespoons melted butter
DIRECTIONS
Combine all ingredients in an oversized mug. Whisk well with a fork until smooth. Microwave on high for about 1 to 1 1/2 minutes. You don’t want to overcook it or it will become rubbery.
Would you try this fast and easy recipe?
