I am leaving for New Hampshire either tonight or tomorrow morning and I can't wait! I missed my family (and the food) over Thanksgiving, so I am that much more excited to head home. Here are the things in NH that I look forward to the most!
Steak and Cheese Subs
I live for steak and cheese subs, they are definitely one of my favorite foods of all time. Not, Philly Cheesesteaks, although I am sure those are fantastic, I've never actually had an authentic one, I'm talking about Steak and Cheese subs from New England! I prefer the shaved steak with mushrooms and American cheese, it's the best. My favorite places to get them are D'Angelo's, and Nadeau's (NH). I can't find anything even close here in NYC.
Crush Pizza
Crush Pizza is pretty brand new. They opened up very close to my sister's condo in Nashua, NH. They have blown me away and as you can see, they've made
my list. This is brick oven pizza made at it's best. I can't wait to go back over this Holiday break!
My Mom & Dad's Home Cooking
This is what I am most excited for this weekend! Unfortunately, my husband and I had to stay back in NYC this past Thanksgiving and we missed out on our family's amazing spread of food. I cannot wait to eat my mom's stuffed mushrooms and my dad's mashed potatoes. Seriously, I am going to stuff my face, my parents are wonderful in the kitchen and this food has been long awaited.
Beer!
Mostly, drinking beer with my sister Kerri and my brother in-law, Scott (and of course, my husband). But, this is our group, we all love to drink lots of beer together and hang out. I miss them so much and I can't wait to spend 4 days with them! Beer is what brings us together.
Besides these points, I am so excited to be with my family! I haven't seen them since the wedding in September and it's going to be nice to have a few solid days of food, family, and beer!

Probably taking back copious amounts of homemade candy and cookies from my parents' house. Especially my mom's Fruitcake Cookies.
Go to Christina's deli in whitestone. Get a philly cheesesteak with gravy. It has the shaved steak. I am not sure if they have mushrooms tho.
