Your Weekly Dose of Food P0rn: Holiday Cookies
When Thanksgiving ends it's sparks the time to really begin making holiday cookies. I absolutely love making holiday cookies because I love trying out new recipes and decorating all the cookies. In high school, I used to take a day off school to stay home and make dozens of holiday cookies with my dad. We have this intense cookie gun press with so many different designs, which we use for sugar cookies and they are my favorite! To kick off the holiday cookie season, enjoy these cute and yummy pictures.

The two sugar cookie photos and the oatmeal cookie stars - I'm dreaming of myself devouring them. :D

so beautiful
Yum. Most definitely bake cookies for the holidays. But since I bake them to give as gifts, none are the cut-out and decorate time because I bake by myself and there is no way to get them all done and packaged in a weekend. I bake: chocolate chip cookies (everyday favorite), oatmeal craisin cookies with orange zest (concocted during my personal first holiday cookie bake session), coconut macaroons (favorite among the older crowd) and strawberry jam streusel squares (variation of recipe found online) and brownies (a recipe I tried 15 different batches until I liked the results). I bag them up in plastic zipper bags, then all go into holiday printed lunch sacks with a few squares of chocolate fudge and packets of hot chocolate mix.
I love these! I have a cookie press gun too that I bought from Pampered Chef but I have yet to use it.
loooovvee 'em
omg... must have
@Mrs_FoodLover@xanga - That's the one I have! It's so amazing...you need to try it!!
@rachel - Really!?! Yay, I'll try it this weekend! What kind of cookies can you make with it? Just sugar cookies?
@Mrs_FoodLover@xanga - I've only ever made sugar cookies with it. I'm sure you can make others if the batter isn't super thick or anything.
