These delicate lace cookies are quite delicious. You can enjoy them with coffee or tea, or use them as garnishes for delectable desserts. Here's the recipe.
Ingredients:recipe from PastryPal
1/2 cup sugar
56 grams all-purpose flour
1/4 cup orange juice
1/2 stick butter
zest from one orangeDirections:
Whisk together flour and sugar in a large bowl.

Melt butter by sticking it in the microwave in 30 second intervals, until it is liquified.

Add orange zest to the orange juice, and then pour into the bowl of flour and sugar mixture.

Whisk until it becomes smooth.

Add in the melted butter.

Whisk until it's completely incorporated.

Refrigerate batter for at least 2 hours.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Fill a pastry bag, outfitted with a small plain tip, with the batter.

Pipe nickel-sized rounds on a silicone baking mat, spaced 3 inches apart. Bake for about 10 minutes, and make sure to keep a close eye on them. I actually ended up burning a few batches because I got distracted with doing something else.
Once they are removed from the oven, they will be quite soft. Wait about a minute for them to set a little, and then you will be able to shape them, if preferred. Gently glide an offset spatula under them to loosen it, then drape them over something round. Once they harden (which doesn't take too long), you can slide them off. Be very careful when handling these lace cookies, as they are very delicate. If you do not want to shape them, just simply allow them to cool flat on the sheet pans. Store them in an airtight container.

I love lace cookies. These look fantastic…I can think of a couple desserts that could use a garnish like this.
they look so fragile, never had 'em, but will definitely try
