The Fridge I Grew Up With

Recently, I've been pretty swamped with work and I've been doing a lot of traveling so I haven't done much grocery shopping. When I do, I'm planning to do a post on my fridge (and I know you're so excited to get to know me on such an intimate level). In the meantime, I thought I'd share with you what's in my parents' fridge which in a lot of ways, is going to be similar to what my fridge generally contains (except the fact that they can afford more novelty and specialty items and I cannot). So, here's what's in my parents' fridge:
- Various lite salad dressings including my dad's homemade "secret" dressings
- Blueberry preserves
- Organic peanut butter
- Honeydew
- Margarine
- Avocado
- Sweet red peppers
- Cottage cheese
- Garlic aoili mustard
- Habanero salsa
- Soy sauce
- Various marinades
- Mango chutney
- Mango salsa
- Milk
- Egg whites
- Orange juice
- Red and green grapes
- An apple
- A Pear
- Pineapple
- Lettuce
- Cucumbers
- Baby carrots
- Baby spinach
- Onions
- Pepper Jack cheese
- Brie
- Cheddar cheese
- Sliced chicken
- Sliced turkey
- Lox (smoked salmon)
- Dark chocolate M&Ms
- Grapefruit juice
- Chilean Sauvignon Blanc
- Chopped garlic
- Minced garlic
- Whole cloves of garlic
- Cocktail sauce
- Spicy mustard
- Yellow mustard
And one bonus component:
- Nail polish (yes, my mother keeps her nail polish in the refigerator and I don't know why-- if you have any insight, please share!)
The freezer:
- Ice cream
- Klondike bars
- Bagels
- Various leftovers
What's in your refrigerator? What was in your refrigerator when you were growing up?

Our fridge stays pretty barren, but we eat at home a lot. Kinda weird.

-leftover Korean soups or side dishes
-pasta sauce
-milk
In the freezer-fishcakes

not much food in there usually :)
fridge: lots of diet coke, bagged salad, salad dressing, bread, applesauce, yogurt, mustard, cold cuts (always turkey, sometimes honey ham)
freezer: soy burgers, tons of frozen meals (kashi, smart ones, etc.), sometimes ice cream (b&j's fish food), frozen veggies
i'm so boring.
I like seeing a fridge full, doesn't matter what type of food is in there. Half empty ones make me depressed.
I have a kind of addiction to beverages, so you will find all kinds in there like juices, sodas, water...I love condiments...salad dressings, mayonnaise, etc... meat, veggies, seafood, fruits.. the usual.
