My First Experience With Wafels & Dinges
No matter where you turn in New York City, there's food trucks and food carts everywhere. It's becoming a big trend here in The Big Apple. There's one food cart that I've been longing for because it's known for the best Belgian Waffles in New York City. I've known about Wafels & Dingesfor about a year or two now, but never had the chance to try it because it just so happens that every time my boyfriend and I see it we're either on our way to dinner with friends or we're too full for it. I'm proud to say I've finally tried it!
This is their menu and I'll be honest I was staring at it for a good 3-5 minutes and before I knew it, I was holding up the line. Everything sounded great, but I wasn't sure what to get so I asked the guys that were working in the cart and they suggested the spekuloos which is known to be Wafels & Dinges personal favorite. I fell in love with it, so I decided to order a waffle with spekuloos.
This is the spekuloos waffle. Spekuloos is recognized as Wafels & Dinges favorite condiment for a waffle. Spekuloos is a spread that looks like peanut butter and taste like it as well, but with a slight difference because it tastes also like gingerbread cookie.

The gingery, delicately spiced spread, which looks just like peanut butter is available in jars to use on your own waffles, as well as sandwiches or on French toast.
I didn't try my boyfriend's waffle even though his had Nutella because I was too busy savoring my first, ever Belgian waffle. It was crunchy, creamy, sweet, and orgasmic! This was the perfect treat and dessert after a dinner out with my best friend and mutual friends. It really made my Friday night perfect.
In addition, I've reviewed Wafels & Dinges on Yelp and about a week ago I received a personal message from the owner of Wafels & Dinges and he said, "Hi Jessica, Thanks so much for your wonderful review. In a world were everyone's always busy and short on time, it was a great gesture of you to take a minute to write some nice dinges about us. Much appreciated!!" A small gesture goes a long way. I'm definitely returning!
Have you ever tried Wafels & Dinges? If not, would you give it a shot?

Wow those sound great. I wish they had one out here lol. I would totally try it.
@coder88@xanga - Yes, that is SOHO but it's usually located in East Village. It's one of the locations.
Interesting. I would love to try that spread.
