Follow Me on Yelp For More Reviews
I love Yelp! I've been yelping since July 2010. My reason for have starting a Yelp account because I found myself trying so many restaurants that I wanted to write reviews in a community where I know people will take notice and read when they're looking at a specific restaurant or place. On November 4, 2011, I officially reviewed 100 restaurants/food places. When you're approaching close to your 100th review, a team member from Yelp will contact you to let you know that you're on your way to becoming an Elite Yelp member.
The way to become an Elite member is based on the number of things, including well-written reviews, a worthy personal profile, an active voting and complimenting record, and playing nice with others. Members are designated the shiny Elite bade on their account profile. I received my badge when I was around my 80th-90th review.
Yelp also lets anyone to build their own lists. I only have one right now called: Cheap Eats, but I intend on making a few more lists. I can also bookmark all the places I want to try which is helpful because I am building my own list of places I want to try or review. This keeps my content organized and everything else as well.Yelp has allowed me to extend my writing and restaurant reviewing to another level. The content is a lot shorter than my reviews on my blog, but it is targeted to a whole other audience and community. Maybe you can be my next set of audience. Find me on yelp by clicking here.

I have tried Yelping. but I am so particular that the reviews would be way too long to be practical. Probably because I like to nitpick. I do like using Yelp to read what others think about places I'd like to visit.

@goodeatings - But all my reviews are for Southern California restaurants! (I just have a few, I am not very good at keeping up with them.)
No I don't have an account but I do read the reviews though, if I wasn't too busy traveling between countries.
