Chinese Food: Rainbow Xiao Long Baos at Paradise Dynasty
If you're into xiao long baos (steamed meat dumplings) , you must not miss these Paradise Dynasty's delights made with a colorful twist! Conveniently located on the 4th floor of the futuristic-looking ION in the heart of Orchard, this new house of xiao long baos makes a fun and reasonably priced alternative to Din Tai Fung, Crystal Jade La Main Xiao Long Bao and Nanxiang Steamed Bun.
Be prepared to queue!
Lunch crowd at close to 3pm on a weekday. Yes it's that popular....
Pretty Chinese tea and sauce set.

Viola, the signature dynasty xiao long baos - original, ginseng, foie gras, black truffles, crab roe, cheese, garlic and Szechuan.

Tasty La Mian handmade in full view of the diners in the open kitchen.

Sweet pumpkin cakes, which we ordered by mistake and so glad we did as it was heavenly and absolutely addictive.

My favorite Chinese desert, Jiuniang, made from fermented glutinous rice in a mildly alcoholic rice wine.

Truth be told, I wasn't particularly blown away. That said, this place definitely makes a great Chinese food option if you're looking for affordable and centrally located Chinese restaurants. The pretty Chinese interior and colorful xiao long baos also add a fun Chinese touch to the overall dining experience.

I wonder how it taste like.
It's a love-hate relationship place for me. I love their xiao long baos, but I hate the long wait for a seat.
I really want to taste the xiao long baos!
Ohhh. I'd love to try the foie gras & black truffle.
