Luckily before my husband and I went off to Denver for our honeymoon, we talked to many people who have been there and they gave us lots of recommendations. My good friend Jamie actually grew up in Denver and lived there her whole life up until 3 years ago, so she easily concocted a list of bars and restaurants to try.

On this list was a bar called 1 Up.
Not only did this bar have a crazy amount of cheap arcade games, but they had an amazing selection of draft beer. They probably had about 6 or 7 beers on tap and they were all local or craft beer. So impressive.

Every arcade game cost 25 cents! The pinball machines were the only games that cost 50 cents. I couldn't believe it was so cheap. Seriously though, everything in Denver is wicked cheap, especially when you are used to NYC prices. The beer was $4 here and in most other places too, I couldn't believe it!

My list of beers here included the Bristol brewing company's Mass Transit and the Bull and Bush Man beer. Derek also ordered these 2 beers in addition to a Laughing Lab also brewed by Bristol.

LOVE ski ball!

They had GIANT games of Jenga set up around the bar. Every once in a while you would hear a huge crash and everyone around the game would be laughing their asses off. Of course we had to play at least 1 game.

Duck Hunt!

Derek and I played an awesome game of X-Men! We kept it going for quite a while.
I have no idea how much we spent here, but this was one of the most fun spots of our trip, can't wait to go back!

Oh my God this screams nerdgasm for me!!! Did they have Area 51?
wow.. that is definately a place i will try one day! =)
Looks like fun! If I ever go to Denver I will have to stop by there.
This place looks awesome! I'm from New Jersey, so we get 8 On The Break (http://thebreak.net/). Not a bar, but the oldest continually operating arcade in the United States, and they do have food. They rotate their games and they always have some older stuff along with some newer stuff, and a LOT of music and rhythm games. However, I can't deny some beer would make the place even better!
Also, I'm a little surprised to see ski ball out in the mid west. Of course in Jersey it's everywhere, but most people not from the tri-state area seem to have never heard of it.
Go to Insert Coins in Vegas. If this bar blows your mind, this place will make you implode. It has all the 25 cent arcade games plus all the systems available as well! It is RAD.
Hahah everything is cheap compared to NYC. That place looks awesome. I'll keep it mind in case I ever go to Denver. =D
Looks like so much fun! Glad you had a great time Stephanie!
oooooooooooooooooooooooooo I wanna go!
