The Secret Lives of Cupcakes
This is a guest post from CakeSpy.
What do cupcakes do after the bakery closes? This is a question I think about a lot. I like to imagine them as little elves, getting to the real work of misbehaving and making magic after hours. And after I received this wonderful batch of cupcakes decorated to look like my Cuppie character at the CakeSpy Official Book Launch Party, made by New York Cupcakes and wearing wrappers by Bella Cupcake Couture, I had a chance to see for myself. Here's what they did:
This little cupcake took a ride on a pug...
This little cupcake helped me bake...
This little cupcake considered cannibalism...
These little cupcakes like Bakerella...
This little cupcake didn't even know it was being hunted...
This little cupcake dreamed of unicorns...
This little cupcake enjoyed the harvest...
These little cupcakes hung out with some hotties...
This little cupcake made a big mess...
This little cupcake didn't fear death...
But perhaps he ought to have.
...the end.

hahah cute
When I worked at a bakery we had to throw everything away. Think 5 jumbo trash bags full of savory and sweet treats. We weren't allowed to donate any of it or take any home. I imagine many places are like this except for small businesses who are conscious of their budget.
Rainbow cakes are too pretty to be eaten.
AAAH! You murdered him! =O Delicious, delicious murder!
I love this cupcake story n_n, they look super cute and yummy!
no but some were so cute i had to take a picture before i ate it:3
For the most part, it hasn't been a problem--I'll eat anything! But for Easter one year, my youth group had cupcakes, and some had little edible printed bunny pictures on them. I saved mine because I love bunnies, but it went through the wash...
These cupcakes are soo adorable! <3
THEY look too cute to eat
But in the past, no, I would eat pretty much anything edible haha, no matter the level of cuteness
how cute! & they looked delicious :P
LOL what a sad ending
they look so yummy :9
O nooo.... cupcake murder!
adorable. i'm a sucker for anything with a cute face/imprint that yes, i couldn't bare to eat for a day.. then i gave in because it'll eventually go bad anyway. XD

So adorable and yummy!
When I worked for an ice cream parlor I made a perfect, pink soft ice cream cone and I didn't want to give it to the customer but I had to :( I wanted to take a picture of it but I couldn't. The customer told me it was really pretty, so I know it went into good hands :)
Love your cupcake stories, always so cute!
Unfortunately, I did...
I bought these Georgetown cupcakes once [expensive cupcakes, at that] because I cannot bake to save my life.. and they had this pretty mocha-flavored cupcake.. and it just looks so pretty... So I saved it for last and didn't eat it until I got home lol.. It was SUCH a long ride home xD
haha aww that was cute.
makes me want to eat a cute cupcake now.
SO cute~!
yes! not in a long time though! but when i first came across marzipan shaped as tiny little foods when i was like ten, i never ate them and they probably rotted away sometime until my mom threw them out XD
Your nail polish is cool.
cupcakes, no matter how cute don't last around here. If I think something looks too good to eat, I have 4 boys that will eat it the second I turn my back. However I am known to take loads of pictures of things that are that cute before devouring them.
I have to go out and buy something to snack on now ;)
Q) have you ever encountered a sweet treat that was so cute that you couldn't eat it?
A) yup, there was a cute little pumpkin cup cake that was just too cute. i had to set it down for later... then i got hungry.. eventually i did eat it >.
