Making A Split Decision
Isn't this great? Some new baking pans are specifically made and designed for the indecisive. If you can't make a decision between pumpkin pie and apple pie for a delicious autumn treat, the Split Decision Pie Pan can help you kill two birds with one stone!
The divider insert splits the pan in half, enabling you to use two different fillings. The pan comes with a flat insert as well, so if you decided to go the traditional route and make a classic one flavor pie, you won't need to buy an additional pan. This innovative pan makes it easy to have two kinds of pie in one pie tin.This 3-piece set includes two inserts for creating either a traditional full size pie or tow halves. Insert with the divider allows you to bake 2 kinds of pie at once for more choices at the dinner table. Both inserts fit into pie outer ring so serving is easy - just push up from the bottom and you won't damage the crust.
I personally don't bake pies nor do I love eating them, but for those that love baking pies - I think this is a great gadget to have in your kitchen especially when around this time of the year!
The Split Decision Pie Pan is 9" x 1-1/4" deep. The pan is inexpensive, costing only about $14.95 - $16.95,
Do you think this is something you may need for your kitchen?

Interesting concept, but if I was going to go through the trouble to make two different kinds of pies, I'd make two whole pies. Because there's never too much pie.
I would like it if it were a smaller circle within the larger one. Like an apple pie embedded inside a pumpkin pie. Idk if that would mess up the baking though. hmm...
@just_the_average_jane@xanga - PIECEPTION =O
I like the idea, but it may not be practical for me. I try to save the opportunities to bake standard sized pies and cakes for when I have a crowd. One whole pie's worth isn't going to be enough for my friends! I'd end up making 2 whole pies. I rather make 2 whole, or make individual mini tarts or cupcakes.
Probably not, because I don't bake pies that often.
If you don't like eating OR making pies, why would you write an article about pies? Give it to the more pie-passionate at
ireallylikefood.
but for the truly indecisive, tarts are the way to go: 1 pan, 12 different flavours. now THAT'S indecisive
@arenadi@xanga - I like the sound of that!
Seems like too much effort. Why not just make two pies if you're going to go to all that trouble?
I like it! Mummy and I like unusual pies and this will add a nice collection to our kitchenware.
This will make a nice gift thought. It's a novel idea.
@qristina@xanga - I think it's a great idea especially with the holidays coming up and people will be baking a lot.
