  • Sugar, Spice, and Everything Nice

Fall is one of my favorite seasons and not because it's the perfect season for cardigans on a chilly day or that I can wear my fashion scarves, but because every Fall like every Christmas - Starbucks comes out with their line of signature and seasonal drinks. Sometimes I'm too afraid to try new drinks because what if I don't like it and than it just ends up being a waste of money?

Any way, I've tried most of the drinks on the menu except for Eggnog latte and Gingerbread latte and I'm still debating whether I should try it this holiday season or not. I've recently tried all three of Starbucks Fall drinks and this is what I thought of each one:

Pumpkin Spice Latte: The image of pumpkin is what we see when we think of Fall. The pumpkin spice latte is the perfect and comfortable beverage for a chilly day outside. I tried pumpkin spice latte last year and fell in absolute love with it.

It's blended beautifully Starbucks signature espresso with cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove  - soft steamed milk and topped with a deliciously sweetened whip cream. It frustrates me when I do ask for whipped cream, but than it's not there and it doesn't taste like it was there.

Tazo Chai Tea Latte: The first time I had a chai tea latte wasn't from Starbucks, but I sure did fall in love with this delectable drink. I later on decided that I just had to try it at Starbucks, and so I did. It has a very rich and aromatic taste to it and it's because of the healing spices - cardamom, cinnamon, and black pepper. It's filled with sugar and spice, and everything that's just nice and soothing.

Salted Caramel Mocha: Last Friday, it was raining and pouring in New York City. I met up with one of my best friends at Starbucks and although we already had one drink while catching up, we later decided to have another one. We both haven't tried the Salted Caramel Mocha. It's quite shocking that he hasn't cause he drinks probably more Starbucks than me and he works in a coffee and tea shop. Any way, we both decided to try it in the tall size in case we wouldn't like it than it wouldn't be a total waste of money.

As soon as he brought our cups over, we did cheers with our cups and said "Here's to our first salted caramel mocha, hope you like!" and after our first sip, it was remarkably delicious. He had told me beforehand that a little salt and chocolate tastes great together and he was right. The salted caramel mocha was the perfect beverage to drink on a rainy day because it was drizzling with rain like the salted caramel mocha is drizzled with a buttery and creamy caramel sauce layered over sweetened whipped cream.

So, which one do I like best? I have to say the salted caramel mocha even though I only tried it once. I like it the best because last week was a bad week for me, just lots of unecessary drama between a friend but, a cup of salted caramel mocha really cheered me up and lifted my spirits and there's nothing like a sprinkle of salt before a bit of sweetness. In addtion, I also love the taste of mocha!

What is your favorite Fall beverage from Starbucks?
