Chocolate Is More Than Good Taste
Chocolate. There's something undeniably irresistible about chocolate. The word itself is sensual and romantic. The creamy, silky texture, the deep, dark, elegant color, the exquisitely sweet, rich flavor, that tantalizing aroma...the seductive characteristics of chocolate can definitely arouse the senses and and one's pulse racing to new heights.
Chocolate is one of America's favorite flavor. Chocolate and cocoa come from the cacao tree and included benefits such as: flavonoids which act as an antioxidant. It's also classified as a "feel good" food. Many people experience a "good feeling" after indulging chocolate.
Not everyone likes chocolate. However, sometimes we get these intense cravings for chocoalte. Sometimes we're feeling moody and irritable, even depressed, but once the experience of a forbidden piece of pure chocoalte melts on the tip of your tongue, it's sheer ectasy. This is one of life's most pleasurable moments.Once we consume some good chocolate, we feel better. Chocolate can be a mood-enhancer after all.
I love almost all things chocolate because it's addictive, it makes me feel good, and it's delectable. Here's a list of my favorite concoctions flavored with chocolate:
On the day I gave my heart to my boyfriend, he arranged a special delivery to my house. It was chocolate covered strawberries! They were dipped in all different designs and types of chocolate and it was unbelievably delicious.
I never receieved chocolate covered strawberries from anyone before, so this was quite a romantic gift and he knew that I love food. Chocolate covered strawberries are a romantic and seductive pieces of food. The strawberries were a tad sweet, juicy, and complemented very well with the dark chocolate, milk chocolate, and white chocolate.

I've been drinking hot chocolate since I was in High School. I always preferred hot chocolate with marshmellows or topped with whip cream and drizzled with chocolate syrup. It's the perfect hot beverage to be drinking during the chilly weather. I especially love drinking this towards the holiday season and when I'm studying for exams. It really wakes me up.

M & M's are my favorite chocolate candies ever since I was a kid. My favorite one specificially is the M & M's peanuts because I love that surprise that's in the center of the candy. It's probably the only food I like with peanuts. It always makes me feel better when I have stomach cramps.

Over the past weekend, my friends and I attended the San Gennaro Festival and we picked up fried oreos. It was my second time trying fried oreos and it was absolutely delicious, just as I remembered from last year. It was soft, smooth, and scrumptious. Yes, it's unhealthy but I personally think it's okay to indulge on some once in a while.

Have you ever heard of chocolate bubble tea? Well, it exists! A friend I know that works at Tenren's in Chinatown, NY told me that their chocolate bubble tea is flavored with authentic Hershey's chocolate syrup! That is the way to go.
I've tried a chocolate smoothie before and I can tell it was powdered. The chocolate bubble tea is quite refreshing and one of my favorite flavors at Tenren's. You have got to try the chocolate bubble tea!
I love chocolate. It makes me feel good, it tastes good, and it's one of life's greatest and simplest pleasures, one I can't refuse!
What are your favorite chocolate-flavored foods or drinks?

My daughter ( @I_am_naughty ) and I love chocolates and we would try to make a lot of stuffs with chocolate.
Pancakes with chocolate syrup is normal for us. I made chocolate fondue for her and she made me chocolate chip cookies with smileys.
@I_am_born_on_Earth@xanga - I'd love to try your chocolate fondue, and tell Midori I said 'Hi!'
I like to throw M&Ms in my ice cream and chocolate milkshake. I once had a chocolate full body massage and it was heaven!
Thanks for your mouthwatering description of chocolates which precisely and beautifully summarizes my obsession. I hadn't identified them as my comfort food until this summer, when I really got to eat them a lot... (Just now I had 2 bars :D) A typical chocoholic, I basically love all (most?) types of chocolate-related foodstuff. I fell in love with Ritter Sport lately.
It has to chocolate ice cream.. I love chocolate ice cream.
You're one lucky girlfriend to have a romantic boyfriend who would give your nice chocolate gifts.
Starbucks used to have this drink called the Espresso Truffle... I'm telling you. I had a PROBLEM. I was so addicted. I nearly cried when they took that thing off the menu!
*tears up thinking about it*
I do love just plain dark chocolate bars, though. Love 'em. As far as a basic chocolate bar goes, my chocolate policy is the same as the policy on coffee and some men: the darker, the better. I like 72% dark chocolate because it has this very luxe complexity that I can't get enough of. Ghiradelli makes a good 72%, but the best one I ever had was made by... I believe it was Santo Domingo. They made this 72% dark chocolate bar that made me want to scream OUT LOUD. That thing was beautiful! Unfortunately, I got only one from TJ Maxx just to try, and haven't seen it since. I should've bought every one they had.
Anyway, there is also this chocolate bar called the pike place espresso truffle bar. Coffee and chocolate... need I say more? They sold them at the school store in the cooking school I attended. Seattle Chocolates makes those, and they can be ordered online. Yeah, it's $3/bar, but trust me. It's worth it.
You must also pay honorable mention to the ever ubiquitous chocolate square that goes in a s'more. Whether you use good ol' Hershey's Milk Chocolate (that's what I use!) or get fancified with it, it's still all good. It's a classic combination (one I hope to pay homage to very soon. I haven't had a s'more all summer! That's just sad!).
@I_am_born_on_Earth@xanga - oooh, chocolate fondue! I haven't had that in a minute. That's good stuff, too!
@LilMizfoodie4891@xanga - Espresso Truffle? Whoa, I've never heard of it.
@goodeatings - It used to be one of their signature hot chocolate beverages. Unfortunately, it wasn't accented enough... and because of "lack of popularity", it was removed from the menu. It's a darn shame because that thing was bangin.
i love chocolate! sometimes when i crave it, it usually consists of some tasty chocolate cake mmmmmm
