The Many Delicious Flavors of M&M's Chocolate Candies
A classic candy I will never stop loving are M&M's. There is just something about them that make me smile. Maybe it's the fact that they have they have been around forever, or that they have the best commercials. Sidebar: M&M's commercials never cease to make me laugh (especially the pretzel ones). Obviously everyone knows about the two main M&M's flavors, which are Milk Chocolate and Peanut, but did you know that there are so many other flavors?
One day at work I had a serious craving for chocolate, so I went to the vending machine. I saw a cream colored bag of M&M's which I had never ever seen before. I put my face to the glass of the vending machine and saw that it said "Coconut." My face scrunched up from confusion as I didn't understand how I have never seen these before. I love coconut and chocolate, so naturally I bought them. I was a tad disappointed because they weren't as good as I thought they would be.

My favorite M&M's flavor is Pretzel. Why? I'm one of those people who crave the sweet and salty taste (that's why chocolate covered pretzels are my weakness.) Did you know that M&M's Pretzel Chocolate Candies were voted 2011 Product of the Year. Yes, that's right. 60,000 shoppers selected this candy as the most innovative product in the candy and snacks category. When these first debuted, I wondered why they hadn't come out sooner. It's such an amazing idea to combine one of the world's most popular candies with pretzels considering many people love chocolate covered pretzels. I also think M&M's Pretzel Chocolate Candies have the best commercials.What are your favorite M&M's flavors? Did you know all of these existed?

My favorite always will be Crispy M&M's, which were discontinued several years ago. Pretzel M&M's seem to have replaced them (they have the same packaging), but I find that they pale in comparison.
Premium M&M's come in many different flavors. My favorite was Mocha, although Triple Chocolate was pretty good too. However, I haven't seen any Premiums in over a year, so I fear that they have been discontinued. Although they were good, I still thought that they were overpriced.
You should try the Almond Joy Pieces. They're like m&m-shaped almond joys and they're delicious.

I'd go for milk, dark and milk with peanut if I choose M&Ms. I did not know about the coconut one--is it coconut flavor, or is it like mini-Mounds candy bars, but covered in a candy shell? I love the commercials, too! They're funny and cute. (Especially the guest list/grocery store one, or the "get the pretzel in") Have you ever visited the M&M store on the strip in Las Vegas? All sorts of memorbilia and you can buy M&Ms separated by type and color.

I think my favorite version is the Wildly Cherry M&Ms, which is a limited edition that Mars has brought out the last couple of years around Valentine's Day. Another limited edition that I really liked was the Razzberry M&Ms, which were milk chocolate infused with raspberry flavor.
A couple of other limited editions that have been released are White Chocolate M&Ms and Mint Crispy M&Ms.
Incidentally, did you know that the Dark Chocolate M&Ms were originally a limited edition released as a tie-in with Star Wars: Revenge Of The Sith?
@babybug329@xanga - If you're asking about the Coconut M&Ms, they are coconut-flavored milk chocolate.
I LOVE pretzel m&ms.... you should make a post about all the delicious chocolate + pretzel candy and desserts :)
@Crono09@xanga - They sell them in Australia and I've seen them in Hong Kong! Too bad they discontinued them in the US :(

I have to say the pretzel ones are my favorite--and I'm eating them right now. :)
I'm a "classic" M&M lover, I can't turn down the milk chocolate or the peanut ones. I knew about most of these. As for the pretzel ones, I was extremely disappointed with those. I just couldn't taste the sweet and salty like I thought I should be able to.
I like the peanut butter and the different chocolate ones. Not fond of peanuts or almonds or anything coconut.

and I absolutely love them the most..
The only m&m's they sell here arae peanut, milk and crispy btw.. so not that many choice..

@Crono09@xanga - I LOVED Crispy M&Ms! I used to think NOONE remembered them. And I feel the exact same way that it seems pretzels replaced them, but you are right they pale in comparison. I'm so glad that I'm not the only one that pines after the long forgotten Crispy M&Ms. </3
Dark chocolate and peanut :) major yummm. I have heard of most of them, and tried most of them as well, but not a big fan of most of them.

I absolutely loved the Crispy Rice M&Ms. I could never get enough of them! I also like Peanut Butter ones a lot but nothing will ever top my love for the Crispy.
You forgot the crispy ones!!! and there's also a mint one and a cherry somewhere out there, too.

There are even more flavours that people aren't aware of, because they were limited editions and weren't out for very long. I've seen them online but never in person. There have been Orange, Razzberry (their spelling), Strawberried Peanut Butter, Wildly Cherry, and Mint, just to name a few I've found online. There may be more I don't know about. Google any one of these to see them yourself!
PS I was incredibly pissed when they discontinued Crispy. They were the best ever! The new pretzel ones are almost as good, but just not the same.
I love them all. I'm not choosy.
