Clams, You've Got Me Falling in Love With You!
It's only been a few weeks since I first had a pasta dish with clams and I've got to tell you, I'm falling in love with it. Honestly, I don't like oysters or mussels, but recently I became infatuated with clams and pasta!
My boyfriend and a few of my friends went to Plum Pizzeria & Bar and that was the first restaurant and my first moment with pasta with clams! It was crazy expensive for such a small portion, but I fell madly in love with this dish. This is Linguine Alla Vongole with manilla clams, garlic, and white wine sauce. I
t doesn't require a lot of spices and herbs for the dish to taste good. The clams were well-seasoned. This family style dish costs: $34.95. Although the dish was expensive, it tasted amazing!

About two weekends ago, my boyfriend and I went out with my friends to a romantic and trendy restaurant in Brooklyn, called Pane E Vino. I decided to get the Linguine alle Vongole which cost $14.00.
The Linguine alle Vongole comes with clams, garlic, crushed pepper, and white wine sauce. The clams were just heavenly! The crushed peppers added a little kick to the dish which was interesting and it was a nice kick.

My boyfriend and I had a restaurant.com coupon to use so we decided to use it on Hunter Ale's Steak House. It was our second time trying the restaurant out. Since I saw that the linguine with clams was available with red sauce so I decided to give it a shot. The clams were tasty, but I think it tastes better with the white wine sauce because it's more rich and delicious. The dish was $16.00.

Yesterday my boyfriend and I went to a local Italian restaurant that is following me on Twitter. I decided to try out their clam dish called Zuppa Di Clams with Angel Hair Pasta. The dish cost $16.95. In a way, the dish didn't look too appealing. However, the clams were tasty as usual. I didn't like that there was too much broth or wine sauce underneath the bed of pasta.
Pasta with clams has become one of my favorite Italian dishes that I've been ordering frequently whenever I go out for Italian food. I'm excited to try it more in different Italian restaurants. Now, I am going to begin another food search for the best pasta with clams!
Have you ever tried pasta with clams?

I don't think I've actually eaten clams with pasta!... but I have had clams by themselves, and I definitely have an appreciation. Reading this entry made me want to run out and get some clams ASAP. Thank you for sharing! I got to enjoy these clams vicariously through you (until I can afford to get some for myself).
i have made linguine alla vongole in the past.
I like clam pasta as well, particularly with cabonara (dunno how it's spelt...) or garlic.
