Weird Ice Cream Flavors
I love ice cream and recently I've found myself questioning my dedication to this sugary cold dessert! While walking on HighLine a few weeks back with friends, I came across an ice cream cart selling lavender, avocado and hibiscus flavored ice cream! People have gotten so creative with ice cream flavors that lavender and hibiscus are no longer strange flavors! Here are a few weird flavors:
1. Lobster Ice Cream: Ben and Bill’s Chocolate Emporium in Bar Harbor sells ice cream which has fresh chopped lobster meat that has been cooked and buttered folded into butter-flavored ice cream.
2. Curry Ice Cream: Available in the Exotic Ice Cream collection from Vosges, the curry in this ice cream is a sweet Naga curry from India combined with creamy coconut custard.
3. Foie Gras Ice Cream: Available at Humphry Slocombe in San Francisco, this ice cream sandwich (made using homemade gingersnaps) is filled with buttery foie gras ice cream. (Foie Gras = Duck or Goose liver)

4. Cold Sweat Ice Cream: Don't let the name mislead you. This ice cream is NOT made of sweat, although it can induce a sweat. Sold at Sunni Sky’s Homemade Ice Cream in Angier, North Carolina, this ice cream includes three varieties of chilies and two hot sauces mixed into vanilla ice cream.

5. Chicken Wing Ice Cream: Chicken Wing ice cream can be found at Namja Land (a Japanese restaurant and amusement park in Ikebukuro) alongside other unique flavors such as Garlic and Wasabi.

6. Stilton Cheese Ice Cream: The Stilton cheese producers at Churchfields Farm in England have created an ice cream from grated Stilton, a sharp bleu cheese, combined with a classic ice cream base.

Would you try any of these? Which flavor sounds the worst?

Ew for the curry, cold sweat and chicken wing ice-cream x_x.. but I'd try the rest in good fun.
2 sounds like it could be doable but I'd probably skip the rest.
If I would pick out of these 6, maybe lobster ice cream is edible.
I hate foie gras. So I wouldn't have that one, but maybe all of the others. I'm pretty open-minded about new foods.
I'd probably try all of them.
Coldstone has a new Strawberry Basil flavor that might be good. I haven't tried it yet.
EW. GROSS. lobster icecream? i dont even like lobster. chicken icecream sounds weird too..
#2 sounds goooood
I don't think I'd eat any of those...
Cheese ice cream is an everyday thing here in the philippines. Its really really good :P
I would try them. o.o
I live about 20 minutes from Angier so, while I will NOT be trying cold sweat ice cream, I will definitely be stopping by that place for a treat!
Curry ice cream sounds delicious, everything else sounds horrible.
I live about 40 minutes from Bar Harbor Maine and I am still curious to see how the lobster ice cream tastes. I don't imagine it would be that appetizing. I like my lobstah with butter, not cream.
That is extremely strange, but I would be up to try them all. Especially the lobster ice cream =D
barfs. if i had to pick one, #6
I would try all these except the chili one.
The lobster ice cream sounds all right -- just as long as you don't put tarter sauce on it.
I can see the Cheese icecream, sinse it's dairy. That one doesn't seem to weird to me. Even the Curry, while somewhat fantastic, by having Coconut Custard, isn't quite too far out. The other four, though, especially the Lobster and the Chicken Wing, i'm having trouble wrapping my head around. Who knows, though, they might be good. I never imagined Red Bean Ice Cream would be plausible, but it is very good.
@Lynn1013@xanga - it's not good. I work there. Couldn't even swallow. spit it in the trash.
who would come up with these? like who would think these are acceptable ice cream flavors to put on the market?! haha.. and no i don't believe i would try any of these. my friend has tried garlic ice cream, i thought that was pretty nasty sounding too, but she said it was good
The curry one sounds delicious!
I'd try them!
i'd try 6. pass the rest.
i would try all of them but i'm just wondering what flavor would be considered "normal" in the future.
I'd try them all out of curiousity.
