A Cup of Green Tea Will Do You Good
If you are cold, tea will warm you. If you are too heated, it will cool you. If you are depressed, it will cheer you. If you are excited, it will calm you. - William Gladstone
Tea is one of the simplest and oldest of civilized pleasures. It's a beverage, a stimulant, and a symbol of honor, welcome, and hospitality, tea is Asia's great gift to mankind, enjoyed all over the globe.
Tea is the second most consumed drink, after water in the world. Tea has become a central role in the life of people because of it's flexibility. Tea works both as a pick-me-up during a chaotic work day and serve as a serene accompaniment to queity and relaxing times.
There are four principal types of tea - black, green, white, and oolong. They all come from the same plant; what differentiates with them is the way they are processed.
However, green tea is one of the most popular and has the highest benefits than any other tea. Green tea is most popular in Asia, North Africa, and the middle East, and it is currently undergoing a burst of popularity in North America as both a hot tea and iced tea.
Health Benefits of Green Tea
- Green tea has been considered as a natural remedy for pain and other medical problems. Aside from its healing capabilities, this herbal drink also contains antioxidants that help slow down the aging process.
- Green tea boosts the burning of calories because it contains a special ingredient called catechin that prevents free-radicals from damaging your body after a heavy workout.
- Green tea acts as an antibacterial and antiviral agent. It also helps in getting relief from influenza and diarrhea. It relieves stress, improves bone structure and delays the onset of osteoporosis.
- As all other tea it helps in getting relief from depression & headache which is a usual problem of a common man in this world.Green tea can even help in preventing tooth decay. As the bacteria destroying abilities of green tea helps in preventing food poisoning, it can also kill the bacteria that cause dental plaque.
For the best results, drinking one cup of tea every day after every meal you'll notice that your body has become much slimmer and healthier. Being in shape not only increases your self-esteem but also makes you feel good because the herbal ingredients are always cleansing your system from bacteria.
Do you drink green tea? If so, what do you think of it?
