Recipe: Bread Crumbed Fish Fillet
Cooking is such a therapy for me and so is eating. It's been a while since I last cooked or baked, so I decided to make something uniquely tasty - Bread Crumbed Fish Fillet.
Ingredients:
- All purpose flour
- Basil
- Oregano
- Salt
- Pepper
- Bread crumbs
- 2 eggs
- Flounder Fillet (Boneless)
- McCormick Alfredo sauce
- Egg Noodles
Preparation:
- Prepare a work station by putting ingredients into separate bowls. The bread crumbs go in one bowl and the egg, flour, salt, pepper, oregano, and basil go in the other. Stir it all together.
- Next, slice the fillet by cutting into small strips so the fillet becomes sectioned. Smaller cuts cook faster so make a note of the difference in the cooking time between the different sizes.
- Take the fish fillet an dip it into egg mixture. Be certain to coat both sides.
- After the fish fillet has been coated in the egg/flour mixture, take the strip to the bread crumbs for the final coating.
- Press the fillet down so that the bread crumbs will stick better. (Repeat until you're finished)
- Place a frying pan on the stove and add enough oil to cover the surface of the pan over medium heat. When bubbles appear, place fish in the pan and cook until it's golden brown.
- You don't have to eat the fish fillet with anything but I do so, I made some instant egg noodles and Alfredo sauce.
The fish fillet will go with a cream sauce, maybe Bechamel or Tartar sauce. The fish fillet doesn't need to be pan-fried that long because the fish fillet is precisely cut thin.
Flavorul? Yes! Well-executed? I think so! The fish fillet was crispy, well-flavored, and melted in my mouth. This was a great meal, slightly fattening but scrumptious!
It feels great to try something new once in a while and get out of my Asian-Roots in a while.
Do you like fish? What kind of dishes have you had with fish?

I love this. Excellent.
I'd love to have a nice sauce to dip with that. All I could think of is sweet chili thai sauce. Yum. Sure I love fish. I prefer them steamed or deep fried.
I love this. I grew up eating a lot of seafood since my father loves cooking them. I like sweet and sour fish fillet garnished with finely grated radish or carrots and fried shallots.
Fuss free and good.
